LUCENA CITY — A pedestrian died and three others were injured as a truck lost its brakes in Atimonan town in Quezon province on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The Quezon police office reported on Thursday that a truck driven by Jewill Morales was negotiating a curve section of the diversion road in Barangay (village) Malinao Ilaya around 6:40 p.m. when the vehicle lost its brakes.
Article continues after this advertisementThe wayward truck hit two pedestrians, rammed three vehicles that were parked on the roadside, and consequently crashed into a steel barrier and tilted on its side.
About a year later, all that optimism disappeared into thin air, along with its Greenbelt showroom, which was once a vibrant outlet showcasing different e-scooter models. This space—meant to attract heavy foot traffic—has been padlocked very recently.

Morales, his passenger, and another pedestrian sustained injuries and were brought by rescuers to a local hospital.
